Savannah is a super special young lady at Moreland Photography.  She has been a delightful intern with our Roswell Photographer and has made wonderful contributions in our office.  There truly are not enough positive things to say about Savannah.  She will be an upcoming graduate of Roswell High School and is an awarded lacrosse player.  Coming together with Savannah and her parents in the planning process of her senior shoot was fun and exciting.  Savannah wanted us to do something a little bit different.  Many seniors choose to have their senior shoots in and around their home and high school.  Savannah wanted her shoot to be special to her. So we decided to head to the center of Atlanta for her GA Tech Senior Portraits, the heart of her parents and grandparents.

We started our shoot in my studio.  Savannah wanted to stylize the shoot with a more industrial and raw format.  She chose to wear cool camo pants and a black t-shirt against a corrugated metal background.  Shooting her with the barn doors was great because we had fun backlighting her.  Savannah decided to change the entire vibe and go straight classic with a pure black pantsuit, black heels and red lipstick.  The minimalist look was sophisticated and classy.  Savannah really pulled the look together and worked it.  Another look she choose for the studio was a bulky off the shoulder sweater dress, simplified by bare feet and posing on a side chair. It was a more intimate and soft look, reflective and moody. Savannah looked great and our Roswell Photographer was able to capture it!

From there we moved on to the Georgia Tech campus.  While Savannah has not chosen her university of choice just yet, she aims to be a tried and true GA Tech Senior.  Georgia Tech is the alma mater of both her parents and her grandfather.  We walked around the beautiful campus and decided to start at the university’s library.  Savannah had changed into a fresh young outfit of white jeans and a pretty blue top.  Taking her portraits with the greenery of their gardens and the awesome mid-town skyline in the background was stunning.  I really enjoyed playing with the square window panes and long lines of an interior staircase.

As the sun started setting, we made our way over to Piedmont Park.  Savannah had another outfit change into a pretty maxi-dress.  We took several portraits in front of the lake with the gorgeous Atlanta skyline in the background.  We shot with off camera lighting and captured some amazing images.  We even added sparklers to some of the portraits!  The entire day was fun and Savannah and her parents really made it special.  To end our shoot, Savannah wanted to capture something that is truly special in Atlanta and so we concluded our senior shoot in front of the Fox Theatre.

All in all, Savannah’s senior shoot was truly stunning.
